Template notice for the site owner — delete before publishing. This policy is a comprehensive starting point drafted for a live video platform. Replace every [bracketed] placeholder and have it reviewed by a lawyer qualified in your operating jurisdiction.
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on frendzlive.com, and the equivalent device storage used inside the Frendz Live apps.
This website is deliberately light: it sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other sites.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a site stores in your browser so it can recognise your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage and pixel tags; in mobile apps, the equivalents are device storage and software development kits (SDKs).
Cookies are described as first-party when set by the site you are visiting and third-party when set by another domain, and as session cookies when they expire on closing the browser or persistent when they survive it.
What this website stores
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| [fl_session] | Cookie (first-party, strictly necessary) | Maintains a session where you submit a form; used for anti-abuse | Session |
| [__cf_bm] | Cookie (third-party, strictly necessary) | Bot management applied by our CDN or hosting provider | 30 minutes |
| [_ga / _ga_*] | Cookie (third-party, analytics) | Aggregated visit statistics, only if you consent | Up to 13 months |
Site owner: keep this table accurate. Delete any row for a technology you do not actually deploy, and add a row for anything you do. An inaccurate cookie table is a compliance risk in its own right.
What the apps store
The Frendz Live and Host apps do not use browser cookies. They use device storage and SDKs for:
- keeping you signed in and holding your session token;
- caching your settings, language and recent activity so the app opens quickly;
- crash reporting and performance diagnostics;
- a resettable advertising identifier, and an internal device identifier used for ban enforcement and fraud prevention.
What we collect through these is described in the privacy policy.
Your choices
- Consent. Where required by law, non-essential cookies are set only after you consent, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the cookie banner or its settings link. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent and cannot be switched off without breaking the site.
- Browser controls. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking all cookies may stop parts of this site working.
- Mobile controls. iOS and Android both let you reset or limit your advertising identifier in system settings.
- Global Privacy Control. Where we are required to honour a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of non-essential storage.
Changes and contact
We update this policy when the technologies we use change; the “last updated” date reflects the current version. Questions: privacy@frendzlive.com.
